My name is Elle Acebo-Hermiller. I am a pre-program art conservation student with a passion for the preservation of global cultural heritage and the education of the public about that heritage.

After graduating with a degree in art history and a studio art minor, I spent the past year studying organic chemistry while volunteering and interning at the Toledo Museum of Art.

Hand Skills

I am competent in multiple artistic mediums, including: acrylic and oil painting, pen and ink drawing, clay sculpture, etching/intaglio and block printing, knit and crochet, metal soldering, and crafting miniatures.

Conservation Experience

I spent the summer of 2022 interning with the Toledo Museum of Art after volunteering with them in late 2021. I also gained experience writing condition reports during an independent study in 2018.

Public Education & Outreach

I run an educational TikTok account, where I share recent news in art conservation as well as short art history lessons. I have over 70k followers and my video documenting the work of cleaning the Toledo Museum of Art’s cloister has received over 4 million views and gained media outside attention (featured in the Toledo Blade and Newsweek).
